Local Improvement Advisors - Free consultancy resource

Local Improvement Advisers (LIAs) provide free advice, coaching, training and mentoring to support local partnerships to deliver public services through the new performance framework and LAA/MAAs; to develop ambitious responses to the drivers presented by CAA and, in the case of climate change, the Carbon Reduction Commitment.

The scheme is funded by the RIEP network (which also funds CLASP) and there is no limit to how much support we could access in the NW, for climate change support.

**  NW Carbon Challenge Fund Now Open  **

Up to 50% grant funding is available for public sector applicants to a new £2million fund that has just been opened by NWDA.  The Carbon Challenge Fund will provide grants of between £100,000 and £500,000 to new projects that can demonstrate significant carbon savings - accelerating the Northwest region's transition to a low carbon economy.
